week of 2/22/10

This week we will be doing a story about Abraham Lincoln. It is very informative. We are also talking about biographies and autobiographies. We will be studying our PSSA terms. Test on Friday on these terms. Have a great week!

week of 2/8/10

We will be doing a story called "Jackie Robinson, Justice at Last." The students will have a test on Thursday, February 11th. Valentine parties are on Friday, February 12th. Have a great week!!!

The students will have the reading test on Thursday. The stories will be "Zlata" and "Water."

Week of 2/1/10

We will be reading about Helen Keller this week. The name of the story is "Water." Students will have a comprehension test on Friday. We will also read a story called "Hard As Nails." There is a PTO meeting on Monday at 6:30. Groundhog Day is on Tuesday. Wednesday is the 100th day of school. Wow! We're more than half way through the year. Have a great week!

Week of 1/25/10

Last week of January - Yeah!!! The students will have a comprehension test on the story "Aaron's Gift" on Tuesday, January 26th. We will be starting a new Unit. The first story is called "Zlata's Diary." It's a great story and is taken from the novel. It would be a good novel to read for Accelerated Reader. Have a great week!

week of 1/18/10

No school for students on Monday, January 18th - teacher in-service day. We will begin a new story called "Aaron's Gift" on Tuesday. The district spelling bee is on Friday, January 22nd at the high school. Report cards will go home on Friday, January 22nd. Have a great week!

week of 1/11/10

We will be having a comprehension test on the story "The All-American Slurp" on Wednesday, January 13th. We will be doing a review of comprehension skills on Thursday and have a test on comprehension skills on Friday, January 15th.

Just some update information. Our field trip is scheduled for Thursday, March 25th to the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia. Graduation for sixth grade will be on Friday, May 28th.
