Week of 8/27/14 and week of 9/2/14

Today, Wednesday, we are taking a look at our reading books and features.  We will begin the story "Stray" today.  The focus comprehension skills are making predictions, plot (Exposition, conflict, rising and falling action, climax and resolution) and fiction and nonfiction.  The test on "Stray" will be on Friday, September  5th.  No school on Monday, September 1st - Labor Day.   Have a great week and 3 day weekend!

Week of 8/25/14

Welcome to 6th Grade!  It is going to be a great school year!  The first week we will be getting used to our new reading book.  We will start our first story called "Stray."  Our focus comprehension skills are making predictions and plot.  Unit one is on fiction and nonfiction.  Have a great week!
