Week of 4/22/13

We will be working on Folk Literature (Unit 6) this week.  Our focus comprehension skills are cause/effect, folk tales and fables.  The stories we will be concentrateing on are "The Tiger Who Would Be King," "The Ant and the Dove,"  "The Lion and the Bulls" and "A Crippled Boy."  The test will be on Friday, April 26th.  Progress Reports will be handed out on Friday.  Have a great week! 

Week of 4/15/13

The last day of PSSA's is on Monday, April 15th.  The students were very hard workers.  I am so proud of them!  We will be starting Unit 4 - Poetry on Tuesday, April 16th.  We will be reading a lot of poetry.  Our focus comprehension skills are:  rhythm, rhyme, tone and free verse.  The students will have a test on "Oranges" and Ode to Family Photographs" on Friday, April 19th.  Have a great week!

4/8/13 to 4/15/13

The students will be taking the PSSA tests from Monday, April 8th through Monday, April 15th.  Please make sure that your child has plenty of sleep and a good breakfast.  Please encourage your child to do their very best!  Have a great week!
