Week of 9/29/14

We are working on two stories this week.  They are "Names/Nombres" and "The Lady and the Spider."  Our focus comprehension skills are fact/opinion and tone.  They will have a test on Friday, October 3rd on these stories. They will have a test on fact/opinion on Thursday, October 2nd.  They will be receiving a list of PSSA terms this week.  They can start studying these terms.  They will have a test on these within a week.  Have a great week!

Week of 9/22/14

We started two new stories this week.  They are both about monkeys. The focus comprehension skills are fiction and nonfiction.  We will compare and contrast both stories.  They will have a test on both stories on Friday, September 26th.  Progress reports will go home on Friday.  Have a great week!

Week of 9/15/14

We are working on two stories this week.  They are "My Papa, Mark Twain" and "Stage Fright."  The focus comprehension skills are fact/opinion and author's perspective.  The test will be on Friday, September 19th.  Have a great week!

Week of 9/8/14

The students are starting a new story on Tuesday, September 9th.  It is called "The Drive-In Movies."  The focus comprehension skills are making predictions, narrator and point of view.  The test for this story will be on Monday, September 15th. 

Picture day is this Friday, September 12th.

Change - Week of 9/2/14

The students will be working on the story "Stray."  The test for "Stray" will be on Monday, September 8th.   The students will receive a story map to do on the story "Stray."  It is due on Tuesday, September 9th.
