10/26/12 - Update

The PSSA test will be on Thursday, November 1st.  The Halloween parties were changed to Friday, November 2nd.  This is due to the storm "Sandy."  Stay dry!!!

Week of 10/29/12

The test for "Zlateh the Goat" will be on Tuesday, October 30th.  The story map for "Dragon, Dragon" is due on Tuesday.  The Halloween parties will be on Wednesday, October 31st.  The parade is scheduled for @ 2:15 p.m.  We will be playing Jeopardy with our PSSA terms on Thursday.  The students will have a test on the PSSA terms on Friday, November 2nd.  Have a great week!   

Week of 10/22/12

The students will take the test "Dragon, Dragon" on Monday, October 22nd.  They will have a drug prevention program during reading class on Tuesday.  The students will start a new story on Wednesday called "Zlateh the Goat."  The focus comprehension skills are using prior knowledge to make inferences and internal and external conflict/resolution.  They will have a walk for diabetes on Friday, October 26th.  Have a great week!

Week of 10/15/12

The students are working on a story called "Dragon, Dragon."  The comprehension skills are direct and indirect characterization and making inferences.  The students had DARE  in class on Tuesday.  We have and Act 80 Day on Friday, October 19th.  Dismissal is at 11:45.  Wear pink if you are going to the game on Friday.  They will have the test on "Dragon, Dragon" on Monday, October 22nd.  Have a great week! 

Week of 10/9/12

On Tuesday, we will be reviewing all of our comprehension skills.  On Wednesday, we will have a test on these skills.  (Plot, author's perspective and tone)  We are also reviewing point of view (first, second, third person limited and third person omniscient)  They will have a test on point of view on Thursday.  We will start working on the story "Dragon,Dragon" on Thursday.  Have a great week!

Week of 10/1/12

The students will be working on two stories this week.  They are "Names/Nombres" and "The Lady and the Spider."  Our focus comprehension skills are fact/opinion and tone.  The students will have a test on these two stories on Friday, October 5th.  The after school program starts on Monday, October 1st.  We are having a pep rally on Friday, October 5th.  Have a great week!
