week of 3/29/10

We will have a test on Poetry on Monday, March 29th. We will be doing a play called "The Phantom Tollbooth" on Tuesday. Starting on Wednesday, we will be practicing our PSSA skills. We have no school on Friday, April 2nd. Have a great Easter!

week of 3/22/10

Test on Poetry on Wednesday, March 24th. We will be going on the field trip to the Franklin Institute on Thursday, March 25th. We will be leaving at 7:00 a.m. and returning at 5:00 p.m. Students need to have a ride to and from school on that day. Please have your students at the lower level high school parking lot by 6:45 a.m. Parents can park in that parking lot closer to the dock, away from the pool area. Thank you!

Week of 3/15/10

The students will have a PSSA terms - Unit 2 test on Monday, March 15th. If they know their terms, this could be a chance to get a 100% and pull up their grade. They have a summarization chart due on Tuesday. It will count for a grade. This is another chance to boost their grade in reading. Four Sight tests will be given on Tuesday, March 16th. Wear green on Wednesday! Happy St. Patrick's Day. Spring pictures will be taken on Thursday, March 17th. Bring your smiles! Have a great week!

week of 3/8/10

The students are working on a story called "The Pigman and Me." They will have a comprehension test on Friday, March 12th. They will have a test on the PSSA terms - Unit 2 on Monday, March 15th. They have a summarizing chart due on Tuesday, March 16th. They have been aware of these things for 8 days. They also had time to work on these in class. Please make sure they study their terms. It could pull up their grade. Have a great week!

Week of 3/2/10

We will be working on a story called "Langston Terrace." It is an autobiography. We are concentrating on main ideas, details and author's influence. The students will have a test on Friday, March 6th. We will be celbrating Dr. Seuss' birthday on Friday. Students from Bloomsburg University will be joining us. Have a great week!
