Week of 2/24/14

We are starting a new story on Monday, February 24th.  It is called "The Pigman and Me."  The focus comprehension skills are main idea/details and mood of the story.  The test will be on Friday, February 28th.  The students recieved a paper with prefixes and suffixes.  They need to study these.  They will have a test on them on Thursday, February 27th.  It is an easy way to get a 100.  The students will receive their progress reports on Friday.  Have a great week!

We had the Valentine's Day party on Tuesday.  We continued with our story "Langston Terrace."  The focus comprehension skills are author's influences and main idea/details.  The test will be on Friday, February 21st.

Week of 2/10/14

We started a new story on Tuesday.  It is called "Langston Terrace."  The focus comprehension skills are biography, author's influences and main idea/details.  If the weather cooperates, we will have the test on Tuesday, February 18th. 
There isn't any school on Monday, February 17th - President's Day.
